Libraries ($12)

  • Keep Ellis Library open 24 hours a day, five days a week (all levels)
  • Extend specialized library hours to meet student demand

Counseling Center ($8)

  • Hire three new counselors
  • Fund staff retention and training
  • Expand outreach efforts

Technology ($5)

  • Expand Tiger WiFi across campus
  • Expand technology in study and learning spaces

Student Unions ($5)

  • Add more wireless printers and maintain study space technology
  • Waive equipment fees for meeting room reservations
  • Maintain group study spaces and heavily-used student seating areas
  • Maintain quality of MU Student Center and Memorial Union facilities

Leadership and Service Programs ($2.50)

Support experiences that help students develop career-ready skills

  • Provide leadership training for undergraduate and graduate/professional students
  • Provide new funding for technical services to enhance student organization events
  • Provide need-based scholarships for Mizzou Alternative Breaks participants
  • Provide support for community service-related programs such as Caring for Columbia and Step Forward Day
  • Maintain support for environmental and sustainability program outreach and awareness

Campus Activities ($2.50)

Continue to provide free and low-cost programs and events

  • Speakers
  • Safe Mizzou
  • Cultural/international events
  • Alcohol-free programs and events that help connect students to campus, such as Mizzou After Dark, concerts and movies
  • Fall orientation events

Voting Results

Undergraduate, graduate and professional students voted yes to the Student Services Enhancement Fee with 79 percent of the 9,420 voter turnout March 6-8, 2017. (This fee applies only to students taking courses on campus.)
